The Palace Brings the University of Miami's Institute of Lifelong Learning to Residents & Kendall Seniors
The Palace Suites is the first senior living community to host the University of Miami's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program, which offers adult education courses to residents as well as Kendall's older adults.

MIAMI, FL, October 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Palace Management Group, one of South Florida's leading companies specializing in senior housing and care, recently announced a partnership with the University of Miami's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) that will bring adult education courses to residents as well as Kendall's older adults.

OLLI is an academic cooperative that provides mature adults with opportunities for intellectual development, cultural stimulation, and social interaction.

Under the partnership, OLLI will provide educational programming to residents at The Palace's luxury independent living community, The Palace Suites in Kendall, 11377 S.W. 84th Street. Kendall seniors are also invited to participate in the programs free of charge; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.

OLLI at The Palace Suites in Kendall will kick off on Tuesday, October 20 with a five-week course on "Comparative Religions". The first class, led by Imam Zakaria Badit of Masjid An-Noor, will explore Islam. On October 27, the course will be instructed by Rev. Kathy Schmitz of Unitarian Universalist Congregation.

The 1½ hour-long classes begin at 10 a.m. Each speaker will discuss the religion's theological view of God; members' relationship with God; interaction with God in this life; the religion's view of afterlife; and significant holy days and observations.
