Annetta L. Sparks began her career in healthcare in 1985 as a back office medical assistant. The job put her in contact with many elderly patients over more than a decade and she found that she connected with seniors on a deeply personal level. She became a confidant to many and soon began providing companionship, making hospital visits and tending to some elderly patients after surgery. Upon being asked to provide private duty on the side while working for another doctor who also saw many elderly patients in his private practice, Ms. Sparks says, "It was then that God placed this calling upon my heart to pursue this mission as her destiny."
In 1996, Annetta Sparks established Loving Hearts Private Care, Inc., a private and home care staffing agency. The agency provides the elderly with helping hands so that they can remain in their homes. Each client's care is customized and each caregiver is hand selected by Annetta, who chose a career in healthcare because of her interest in nurturing and helping others.
Ms. Sparks' educational background includes certification as a medical assistant, certification in anger management, certification in domestic violence, certification as a law review counselor and certification as a grief counselor. She maintains strong ties to her community by volunteering at local hospitals and for social events. She is affiliated with the California Hospice & Palliative Care Association, the National Private Duty Association, the National Association of Women Business Owners, the National Association of Female Executives, the American Business Women's Association, Black Women's Network, An Empowered Woman, the Better Business Bureau and Beverly Hills Country Club.
