GRAND RAPIDS, MI, April 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carol Bergman, Safety and Security Coordinator for Clark Retirement Community, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of her career.

With 18 years of professional experience, Ms. Bergman is responsible for conducting safety and security audits, reviewing required safety records, attending project meetings, interacting with staff on safety and security issues, processing and submitting all required reports, assuring compliance with state and federal regulations, performing professional work in developing and implementing safety and security programs to ensure a safe and accident-free environment for patients, visitors and employees, developing and implementing effective new programs, policies, procedures and reporting mechanisms for life safety, occupational safety, environmental regulation compliance, emergency response, and building and grounds security, coordinating employee orientation and education programs on all safety and security regulations, policies, procedures and operating systems, performing regular safety and security inspections of grounds, for drills and system tests and implementing required corrective actions and preparing and submitting required reports on safety and security programs and issues to include accident investigations.

Ms. Bergman became involved in her current profession because of the experience she gained as a facilities management administrative assistant and attributes her success to her supportive family and her education. In 1999, she received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Psychology from Grand Valley State University. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Michigan University in 1989 and she is a member of National Association of Professional Women.
